These terms govern your use of Soon: Countdown ("the app"), published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
The app
Soon lets you create countdowns to future events and view the time remaining. It is a personal organisation and entertainment tool. It is not a calendar of record, a reminder service with any guarantee of delivery, or a scheduling system you should rely on for anything critical. Always keep your own record of important dates.
Your content
Countdowns, notes and photos you create in the app are yours. They are stored on your device only; we have no access to them and no copy of them. You are responsible for what you store in the app and for having the right to use any photo you attach.
Free tier and advertising
The app is free to download. The free tier limits how many active countdowns you can have at once and displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Ad content comes from Google's network and is not chosen, endorsed or reviewed by us. If you are in a region requiring it, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you may change that choice at any time in the app's privacy options.
Soon Premium subscription
Soon Premium is an auto-renewing subscription offered as a yearly or monthly plan, each beginning with a 3-day free trial. Premium removes advertising and unlocks unlimited countdowns, all widget designs, photo memories and premium themes.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel first.
- The subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play > Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
- If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- Prices vary by country and may change; you will be notified of a price change as required by Google Play.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with or circumvent the app's paid features, ad delivery or licensing, and do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any of its features. Remote configuration may adjust features such as free-tier limits. We aim not to remove features you have paid for during a paid period.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that countdowns and any notifications will always be accurate or delivered on time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because your data is stored only on your device, we cannot recover it, and we are not liable for data lost through device failure, deletion or uninstallation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
